Terms & Conditions

R&R General Membership Rules

1.     These rules (including our Policy on Privacy and Data Protection) govern the collection and use of ‘R&R Points’ and set out the terms of contract between Reward and Recognition Limited (“us / we”) and each Collector. A Collector can register with the R&R Points collection programme by applying directly or via an affiliated Sponsor, and can then earn R&R Points on various purchases and transactions. If you apply to register with R&R to earn R&R Points then you accept these rules. We may refuse an application for any good reason.

2.     We will set up an R&R Account to record R&R Points earned or redeemed by each Collector.

3.     Collectors must be over 18 years and Kenyan residents.

4.     R&R has Sponsors through whom you earn R&R Points. We award R&R Points when one of our Sponsors tells us a Collector has undertaken an eligible transaction with them. R&R Suppliers are companies with whom Collectors can redeem R&R Points to obtain goods and services or discounts (“Rewards”). These participating companies may change – an up-to-date list of Sponsors and Suppliers is available from us at anytime. Sponsors determine the particular transactions on which R&R Points can be earned and the number of R&R Points to be earned. Each of these will change but in most cases there will be a base offer (i.e. 1 Point for every 100 kshs spent), with further bonus offers that come and go. We cannot control every specific change in the participating companies or their offers but we will ensure that while we are in operation a range of offers is available.

5.     All Rewards are subject to availability. Transactions on which R&R Points are earned or redeemed are made directly with the relevant Supplier or Sponsor and we have no responsibility for any of the goods and services received or supplied, or the failure of a Supplier to honour a redemption or make a specific Reward available. These transactions and all Rewards are subject to all applicable legal rules and the terms and conditions (including booking requirements, cancellation restrictions, return conditions, warranties and limitations of liability) of the Sponsor or Supplier. When R&R Points are redeemed we will act as intermediary between the relevant Collector and the Supplier and we will do what we can to ensure such Rewards are supplied by the relevant Supplier. Our General Rewards Conditions will apply to any Rewards booked with us and these are available from us.

6.     R&R Points cannot be redeemed until credited to an R&R Account. Sponsors will take different periods to notify us of R&R Points to be credited. We are not responsible for a failure, delay or error by a Sponsor notifying us of R&R Points to be credited.

7.     R&R Points have no expiry date but are lost if the relevant R&R Account is closed or the R&R Programme ends. Where R&R Points are redeemed for a Voucher carrying a specified benefit, the Voucher will have a expiry date specified on it and will be subject to any other terms and conditions stated on the Voucher or otherwise publicised and / or communicated.

8.     Redeemed R&R Points cannot be used again. If a transaction on which R&R Points are issued or redeemed is cancelled, reversed or not completed, we will reverse the associated R&R Points movement when instructed by the relevant Sponsor or Supplier. If insufficient R&R Points are available, or we suspect fraud or misconduct, Rewards may be refused or cancelled.

9.     A Collector who continues to collect will get regular updates (via statementing, online account access etc) of the R&R Points position as we know it on the date we issue the update in respect of his/her R&R Account including the R&R Points collected and redeemed by such Collector on such R&R Account. We will correct an R&R Account if it is shown to our reasonable satisfaction to be wrong but, unless there are clear records showing this, our decision is final.

10.  R&R Points are personal to an R&R Account and cannot normally be transferred. R&R Points can only be transferred from one R&R Account to another R&R Account upon death or divorce if adequate evidence of the legal division of R&R Points is given to us.

11.  R&R Points can only be earned, held, transferred or redeemed as set out in these Rules. Any other use, award, sale, exchange or transfer of R&R Points, or attempt to do so, is a serious breach of these Rules. Any R&R Points not earned and held in accordance with these Rules will be invalid and cannot be redeemed for Rewards. Any such R&R Points on an R&R Account will be deducted and, if they are redeemed, we will cancel the relevant Rewards and we may take appropriate action. R&R Points from more than one R&R Account cannot be combined to redeem for the same Reward. R&R Points have no cash value.

12.  Anyone issued with an ‘R&R’ Card, or an ‘R&R Affiliated’ Card can redeem R&R Points from that account for any available Reward. Security questions may be asked when a redemption is made or a Voucher is issued. All Rewards redeemed on an R&R Account which are sent by post will be sent to the latest address we have for the Collector.

13.  R&R Cards are our property and must be returned to us on request or destroyed when no longer valid for use. The Collector is responsible for the security of their Card. If an R&R Card is lost or the holder thinks an unauthorised person has become aware of any security code, password or account number, they should contact the R&R Customer Service Centre immediately. Vouchers should be treated like cash. We cannot be responsible for any unauthorised use of R&R Points or any lost or stolen Vouchers.

14.  We may close any R&R Account on which no R&R Points have been earned or redeemed for a continuous period of at least 12 months. We may also, upon notifying the Collector, immediately suspend or terminate the rights of such Collector, and/or close any relevant R&R Account, if they breach these Rules, if we reasonably believe that they have dealt with R&R Points in a manner not permitted by these Rules or any applicable Sponsor’s terms and conditions, if there is any theft from or misconduct in connection with us, any Sponsor or Supplier, if they supply false or misleading information to us, if they are abusive or offensive to any member of our staff. A Collector can close his/her R&R Account at any time by notifying us. If an R&R Account is closed any rights to redeem R&R Points from that R&R Account are lost.

15.  We may make changes to these Rules and will give the Collector as much notice as we reasonably can. Earning or redeeming R&R Points on an R&R Account will constitute acceptance of the revised Rules. We may suspend or terminate the R&R Programme but will give as much notice as we reasonably can before we do so. If this happens all R&R Accounts will be suspended or terminated. If we sell or transfer the R&R Programme to another company we may transfer all of our rights and obligations under these Rules without any further consent and may disclose or transfer all information we hold about Collectors to a prospective or actual new owner. Such a disclosure or transfer will not alter the rights of such Collectors in respect of the use that can be made of such information by such other company.

16.  Our only responsibilities in respect of the R&R Programme are set out in these Rules which are subject to Kenyan law. We will only be liable to a Collector who suffers loss as a result of our breach of these Rules and, if so, our sole liability will be to credit the relevant R&R Account any R&R Points which have been wrongly deducted or should have been credited but were not. These Rules prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials.

General Reward Conditions

General - These General Rewards Conditions apply in conjunction with the Collector Rules to any redemption of R&R Points by a Collector for a Reward. The goods, services and discounts advertised are subject to availability and may change from time to time. Always check availability via the R&R Customer Service Centre before making your booking, visit or order. No booking or redemption is accepted until we, or the Supplier, confirms it to you. R&R Points cannot be redeemed and Vouchers not used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion or discounted rate, unless stated otherwise. The general terms and conditions of the relevant supplier will also apply, so please visit our website, of call the R&R Helpline.

Voucher Terms - These terms are in addition to the terms and conditions on the back of the Voucher. Only original Vouchers will be accepted. Damaged, defaced or photocopied Vouchers will not be accepted. Once your R&R Points have been redeemed for Vouchers, they cannot be exchanged back into R&R Points. Neither we, not Reward Suppliers are responsible for Vouchers lost in the post, although we will employ all reasonable measures to ensure this does not occur. Once any Vouchers have been used for a Reward, they will not be returned if you cancel. Vouchers remain the property of Reward and Recognition Limited. Each Voucher is not valid beyond the expiry date shown on its face. Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash nor sold or transferred for value.

 

Travel Rewards - General advice

   a.

Collectors are responsible for making their own arrangements for travel insurance for all members of the party and for ensuring that they comply with all applicable passport, visa and health requirements. Transfers are not included (except when otherwise stated). Collectors are responsible for any additional taxes, fees or charges (including airport charges, passenger service charges, security charges, insurance charges and air passenger duty).

   b.

Collectors are responsible for making their own arrangements to and from the specified place of departure and arrival.

   c.

Collectors should be flexible on the dates and/or destinations they are willing to accept. All flights and fare types available as Rewards are capacity controlled and subject to availability at the time of booking. Availability is more restricted on flights during peak periods and greater seat availability is offered on off-peak services and high frequency services.

   d.

The number of seats on flights made available as Rewards is variable and subject to booking class capacity control and forecast demand factors. It is possible that seats available for the offer are fully booked, with higher revenue seats still available for sale on the same flight.

   e.

Collectors should make any travel Reward bookings at least 7 days prior to the date of travel to provide sufficient time for ticketing and ticket collection.

R&R Policy on Data Protection and Privacy  

This is Reward and Recognition Limited's policy on information collected through the R&R Programme. It is part of the Collector Rules. Collectors ('you') will provide information on a registration form or other communication with us directly or via an affiliated Sponsor, and when you use your card or give details to earn or redeem R&R Points, the participating company in question will record in its database the details of the transaction on which those R&R Points are earned or redeemed. Any of this information may be used by, and shared between us and participating companies where necessary to operate the R&R Programme (e.g. so that you can redeem your R&R Points, or to help us prevent abuse of the Programme).  Information relating to the specific goods or services you buy from a particular Sponsor company will not be passed to us or any other participating company except where required to operate the R&R Programme.  Any information (including your name and address) that does not relate to specific goods or services that you buy (e.g. the number of R&R Points that you earn every month) may be used by us to analyse where and how you use your R&R Card. We may also use that information, and share it with participating companies so they can use it to select and communicate offers to you (which may include bonus offers) which we or they believe are likely to interest you. Participating companies may use and analyse that information to market their services to you outside the R&R Programme.
